Graph a Line Using Slope

Slope is rise over run. From a known point, use slope steps to generate more points.

Lesson 3

Concept

Slope m = rise/run. Example: m = 3/2 through (1,1) From (1,1): - rise 3, run 2 -> (3,4) - rise 3, run 2 again -> (5,7) Draw a line through points. If slope is negative, one direction goes up while the other goes left/right opposite. Example m=-2 means rise 2, run -1 (or down 2, run 1).
