Lesson 131 of 216

Concept

Find the pattern by checking the change between terms.

Examples: - 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.1 ... (+0.3) - 5.0, 4.6, 4.2, 3.8 ... (-0.4)

A sequence can also multiply: - 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0 ... (x2)

Use the rule to predict missing values or future terms.

Try it

Complete each sequence: 1. 2.4, 2.8, 3.2, __, __ 2. 6.5, 6.0, 5.5, __, __ 3. 0.25, 0.50, 1.00, __ 4. 9.9, 9.7, 9.5, __, __ 5. Write the rule for: 3.1, 3.6, 4.1, 4.6
