Comparing: How Many More?

Concept

"How many more?" is a question about the difference between two numbers.

🎯 The Matching Strategy:
Let's find out how many more 7 is than 4.
1. Show the First Group: Draw 7 circles: 🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵
2. Show the Second Group: Draw 4 circles right below it: 🟡🟡🟡🟡
3. Match Them Up: Imagine lines connecting partners from the top group to the bottom group.
4. Count the Extras: Count how many circles in the bigger group do NOT have a partner.
   * There are 3 blue circles left over.
5. The Answer: So, 7 is 3 more than 4.

The subtraction sentence for this comparison is 7 - 4 = 3.
