Count on Ten Frames - Up to 40

šŸ§® Ten frames help you count quickly by seeing groups of ten. Instead of counting every dot one by one, count tens and then ones!

Lesson 2

Concept

A ten frame has 10 spots (2 rows of 5). When it is full, that means 10. šŸŽÆ **How to Count with Ten Frames:** 1. Count full ten frames first (10, 20, 30...) 2. Then count extra dots in the last frame 3. Add them together Example: ā€¢ 3 full ten frames + 4 more dots ā€¢ 30 + 4 = 34 šŸ’” **Why this is helpful:** You learn place value while counting! Full frames are tens, extra dots are ones.
