Which Picture Graph is Correct?
š Pictures that hold data! A picture graph (or pictograph) uses tiny drawings to show you how many of something there are.
Concept
A graph is a way to organize information (data) so it's easy to see at a glance. šÆ **The Picture Graph:** A picture graph has categories (like "Apples", "Bananas", "Grapes"), and next to them, it draws pictures to show the amount. * **Category 1 (Apples):** ššš (3 apples) * **Category 2 (Bananas):** š (1 banana) * **Category 3 (Grapes):** ššššš (5 grapes) **Matching Data to Graphs:** If a story says: "I saw 4 dogs and 2 cats", you must look for the graph that has exactly 4 dog pictures and 2 cat pictures. If a graph shows 3 dogs, it's the WRONG graph!
