Interpret Data in Tables

šŸ’” The data speaks! Once your numbers are perfectly organized in a table, you can answer tricky questions instantly.

Lesson 6

Concept

Interpreting a table is exactly like interpreting a graph! The only difference is that tables use real numbers (like "4") instead of pictures (like šŸŽšŸŽšŸŽšŸŽ) or tallies. šŸŽÆ **How to Interpret:** Look at our Favorite Fruit table: | Fruit | Number of Friends | | :--- | :--- | | Apples | 3 | | Bananas | 5 | | Oranges | 1 | We can use the table to answer questions! * **Which is most popular?** Look for the biggest number in the right column! The number is 5. Track left to the fruit column: It's Bananas! * **How many friends took the survey?** Add all the numbers in the right column together! (3 + 5 + 1 = 9 friends).
