Domain and range

The domain of a function is the set of all possible input values (x-values), and the range is the set of all possible output values (y-values).

Concept

From a set of points:
*   Given {(1, 2), (3, 4), (5, 6)}
    *   Domain: {1, 3, 5}
    *   Range: {2, 4, 6}
From a graph:
*   Domain: Look at the x-axis. How far left and right does the graph go?
*   Range: Look at the y-axis. How far up and down does the graph go?
