Domain and range

The domain of a function is the set of all possible input values (x-values), and the range is the set of all possible output values (y-values).

**From a set of points:** * Given {(1, 2), (3, 4), (5, 6)} * Domain: {1, 3, 5} * Range: {2, 4, 6} **From a graph:** * **Domain:** Look at the x-axis. How far left and right does the graph go? * **Range:** Look at the y-axis. How far up and down does the graph go?
