Lesson 112 of 186

Concept

This is reading blueprints and building the number.

🎯 The Number Builder Strategy: "Build a number with 5 Hundreds, 8 Tens, and 2 Ones." 1. Start with the Hundreds. Write the 5. 2. Write the Tens right next to it. Write the 8. 3. Write the Ones right next to it. Write the 2. 4. Squished: 582!

🎯 The Invisible Zero Trap! "Build a number with 4 Hundreds and 6 Ones." 1. Hundreds: Write the 4. 2. Tens: There are NO TENS LISTED in the sentence! You MUST put a 0. 3. Ones: Write the 6. 4. Squished: 406! (If you forgot the zero, you would write 46, which is totally wrong).

Try it

Build the number!
