1. Find Clues: "Find the total cost." "How much did he spend in all?" (ADDITION!).
2. Extract the Money: Find the prices in the text. (Example: $0.35 and $0.48).
3. Stack the Dots: Write them perfectly vertical.

4. Carry the Cargo: 5+8=13. Write the 3, carry the 1 to the top of the tens! 1+3+4 = 8.
5. Format the Output: Drop the dot, add the dollar sign. 
   $0.83.
