(Is the bottom number in the Ones column bigger?). * YES: Go next door. Cross out the Ten. Make it smaller. Give the 10 to the One. * NO: Stop! Do NOT go next door. Just subtract normally. 3. Subtract Ones. 4. Subtract Tens. (Make sure you use the new, smaller Ten!).
