Measure with Different Units (inches, feet, yards)
π€·ββοΈ Which tool for the job? You wouldn't measure a skyscraper with a paperclip! Let's pick the perfect tool for measuring different objects.
Do this: Read the concept below, then try the quiz or activity.
Concept
Because we have three different sizes of measurement (Inches, Feet, Yards), we get to choose the smartest one to use.
π― Choosing the Best Tool: 1. Inches (Small things): A pencil, a cell phone, a book, a butterfly. (If it fits easily in your two hands, use inches!). 2. Feet (Medium things): A person, a bicycle, a doorway, a room. (If you can walk it in a few steps, use feet!). 3. Yards (Huge things): A football field, the distance across a playground, the length of an airplane. (If you have to sprint across it, use yards!).
