Add near doubles

Near doubles are almost doubles. Use a known double, then add or subtract 1.

Concept

Near doubles look like: - 6 + 7 - 8 + 9 - 5 + 4 Strategy: 1. Find the closest double you know. 2. Adjust by 1. Example: 6 + 7 - Double 6 is 12. - One more is 13. So, 6 + 7 = 13. Example: 9 + 8 - Double 8 is 16. - One more is 17.
