Plan: 1. Read and underline important numbers. 2. Decide first operation. 3. Use first answer in second equation. 4. Check if answer makes sense. Example: A class read 28 pages Monday and 35 pages Tuesday. Goal is 80 pages. How many more pages needed? Step 1: 28 + 35 = 63 Step 2: 80 - 63 = 17 Answer: 17 pages.
