(ADDITION!). 2. **Extract the Money:** Find the prices in the text. (Example: $0.35 and $0.48). 3. **Stack the Dots:** Write them perfectly vertical. $0.35 + $0.48 ------- 4. **Carry the Cargo:** 5+8=13. Write the 3, carry the 1 to the top of the tens! 1+3+4 = 8. 5. **Format the Output:** Drop the dot, add the dollar sign. **$0.83**.
