Lesson 118 of 220

Concept

Rectangle perimeter formula: P = 2 Γ— (length + width)

Example: Length 9 m, width 4 m P = 2 Γ— (9 + 4) = 26 m

For any polygon: Add all side lengths.

Try it

Find each perimeter: 1. Rectangle 12 cm by 5 cm 2. Square side 8 in 3. A garden path with sides 6, 6, 4, 4, 3, 3 m 4. A rectangle has perimeter 30 ft and length 9 ft. Find width.
