Concept

Choose reasonable units: - inches/centimeters for small objects - feet/meters for room-size objects - pounds/kilograms for weight - cups/liters for volume

Example: A ribbon is 36 inches long. If cut into 4 equal pieces: 36 Γ· 4 = 9 inches each.

Example: A bottle holds 2 liters. Three bottles hold 6 liters.
