Making change is subtraction with money. Count up from the cost to the amount paid.

Concept

Two methods: 1) Subtract: amount paid - cost 2) Count up: from cost to paid amount

Example: Cost = $6.38, Paid = $10.00 Count up: $6.38 β†’ $6.40 (+$0.02) $6.40 β†’ $7.00 (+$0.60) $7.00 β†’ $10.00 (+$3.00) Total change = $3.62
