Rounding on a number line: 1. Mark the two nearest tens or hundreds. 2. Place the number in between. 3. Check which end is closer.

Example: Round 67 to nearest ten - Between 60 and 70 - Midpoint is 65 - 67 is closer to 70 So 67 rounds to 70.

Example: Round 342 to nearest hundred - Between 300 and 400 - Midpoint is 350 - 342 is closer to 300 So 342 rounds to 300.
