A strip model shows equal groups. Example: There are 6 boxes with 4 pencils in each. Draw 6 equal strips, each labeled 4. Total = 6 × 4 = 24 pencils. Why strip models help: - you see groups clearly - you avoid guessing operations - they work for missing-number problems too
