Distributive property: a × (b + c) = (a × b) + (a × c) Example: 7 × 8 = 7 × (5 + 3) = (7 × 5) + (7 × 3) = 35 + 21 = 56 Another: 6 × 14 = 6 × (10 + 4) = 60 + 24 = 84
