Concept
Zero is a very important number in math.Let's learn its two main rules.
Rule 1: Adding with Zero
When you add zero to any number, the number stays the same.It's like adding nothing!
* 7 + 0 = 7
* 0 + 9 = 9
* If you have 5 cookies and someone gives you 0 more, you still have 5 cookies. Rule 2: Subtracting with Zero
When you subtract zero from any number, the number also stays the same.You're taking nothing away!
* 8 - 0 = 8
* 3 - 0 = 3
* If you have 6 balloons and 0 of them pop, you still have 6 balloons. Special Case: Subtracting a Number from Itself
When you subtract a number from itself, the answer is always zero!
* 5 - 5 = 0
* 10 - 10 = 0
* If you have 4 crackers and you eat all 4, you have 0 left.Try it
