Complete the Addition Sentence to Make Ten

šŸ§© Let's play "Make Ten"! This is a super important puzzle in math. We need to find the "friend" number that helps another number get to 10.

Concept

"Making ten" is a key strategy for all addition.It helps to know which number pairs add up to 10 instantly.

šŸŽÆ  Using a Ten Frame:
  A ten frame is a box with 10 spots.It's the perfect tool for this!
Imagine a ten frame with 6 dots in it:
* [āš«ļøāš«ļøāš«ļøāš«ļøāš«ļø]
  * [āš«ļøāšŖļøāšŖļøāšŖļøāšŖļø]
   Question: How many empty spots are there ?
 Answer : There are 4 empty spots.
  So, the missing "friend" number for 6 is 4!
     6 + 4 = 10 
 The "Friends of 10" Pairs:
  You should know these pairs by heart!
    * 1 + 9 = 10
      * 2 + 8 = 10
        * 3 + 7 = 10
          * 4 + 6 = 10
            * 5 + 5 = 10
...and their turnarounds(9 + 1, 8 + 2, etc.)
