Lesson 91 of 180

Concept

When comparing time: 1. Look at the hour first 2. If hours match, compare minutes

Example: 2:30 and 4:00 โ€ข 2:30 is earlier โ€ข 4:00 is later

If both are in the same part of day (AM or PM), compare normally. If one is AM and one is PM, AM is earlier in the day.

Try it

Compare each pair: 1. 1:00 and 3:00 (earlier? later?) 2. 5:30 and 5:00 3. 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM 4. 11:30 and 11:00 5. Draw two times and say which is later.
