Which Picture Graph is Correct?
๐ Pictures that hold data! A picture graph (or pictograph) uses tiny drawings to show you how many of something there are.
Do this: Read the concept below, then try the quiz or activity.
Concept
A graph is a way to organize information (data) so it's easy to see at a glance.
๐ฏ The Picture Graph: A picture graph has categories (like "Apples", "Bananas", "Grapes"), and next to them, it draws pictures to show the amount. * Category 1 (Apples): ๐๐๐ (3 apples) * Category 2 (Bananas): ๐ (1 banana) * Category 3 (Grapes): ๐๐๐๐๐ (5 grapes)
Matching Data to Graphs: If a story says: "I saw 4 dogs and 2 cats", you must look for the graph that has exactly 4 dog pictures and 2 cat pictures. If a graph shows 3 dogs, it's the WRONG graph!
