Compare Objects: Length and Height

šŸ“ Who is taller? Which train is longer? Let's measure up and compare the size of different objects using our math eyes.

Lesson 1

Concept

When we compare the sizes of things, we use special words. šŸŽÆ **Height (How Tall):** When things stand up (like a tree, a person, or a building), we measure their **height**. * We use the words: **Tall, Taller, Tallest** or **Short, Shorter, Shortest**. * "The girrafe is taller than the zebra." šŸŽÆ **Length (How Long):** When things lay flat on the ground (like a snake, a stick, or a road), we measure their **length**. * We use the words: **Long, Longer, Longest** or **Short, Shorter, Shortest**. * "The yellow pencil is longer than the blue pencil." **Important Rule:** To compare two things, you MUST line up their starting points perfectly so it's a fair comparison!
