Lesson 110 of 186

Concept

A digit is just a symbol. Its VALUE is how much it's actually worth.

🎯 The Value Change: Look at the number 555. It uses the exact same digit three times. Are they worth the same? NO! * The 5 on the right (Ones place) is worth 5. * The 5 in the middle (Tens place) is worth 50. * The 5 on the left (Hundreds place) is worth 500!

Example: What is the value of the 7 in the number 372? * It is in the Tens room. 7 Tens. * Answer: 70.
