Change is money you get back. Subtract cost from amount paid.

Concept
Change formula: amount paid - cost = change
Example: Paid $1.00 for an item costing 63 cents. 100 - 63 = 37 cents change.
Counting up method: 63 -> 70 (+7) 70 -> 100 (+30) Total change = 37 cents.
