Lesson 172 of 186

Concept

"Classify" is a science word that means "Group things together by the rules".

🎯 The Sorting Rules: Bin 1: Quadrilaterals (Must have 4 sides). * Is a Square allowed in? Yes! (4 sides). * Is a Rectangle allowed in? Yes! (4 sides). * Is a bizarre squished diamond-kite thing allowed in? If it has 4 straight lines... YES!

Bin 2: Hexagons (Must have 6 sides). * Does it look like a stop sign? No! (Stop signs have 8). * Does it have 6 straight lines? YES! Throw it in the bin!

You are classifying them entirely by the number of sides and corners.
