Now let's do it with huge numbers. šÆ **The Bank Exchange Rates:** * 10 Ones = 1 Ten. * 10 Tens = 1 Hundred! **Example 1: "How many Tens are in the number 40?"** * Cut off the zero at the end! * Answer: **4 Tens**. **Example 2: "How many Hundreds are in 30 Tens?"** * 10 Tens makes one Hundred. So 30 Tens makes... * Answer: **3 Hundreds!** (Or the number 300). You are just sliding the place values up and down the chart.
