šŸ—‚ļø The Sorting Hat! You are facing a giant bucket of crazy shapes. Your job is to throw them into the correct labeled bins.

Lesson 5

Concept

"Classify" is a science word that means "Group things together by the rules". šŸŽÆ **The Sorting Rules:** **Bin 1: Quadrilaterals (Must have 4 sides).** * Is a Square allowed in? Yes! (4 sides). * Is a Rectangle allowed in? Yes! (4 sides). * Is a bizarre squished diamond-kite thing allowed in? If it has 4 straight lines... YES! **Bin 2: Hexagons (Must have 6 sides).** * Does it look like a stop sign? No! (Stop signs have 8). * Does it have 6 straight lines? YES! Throw it in the bin! You are classifying them entirely by the number of sides and corners.
