Write Addition Sentences for Arrays
āļø It's time to write the math for the grid! You will look closely at the rows and turn them into a math sentence.

You know how to read an array. Now let's write the math! šÆ **The Row Strategy:** 1. **Count ONE row:** Put your finger on the top row and count how many objects are in it. Let's say there are 5 stars. 2. **Count the NUMBER of rows:** How many rows go down the page? Let's say there are 4 rows. 3. **Write the sentence:** You are going to write the number "5", 4 times! **5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20**. Just follow the rows, write down the number for each row, and put plus signs between them!
