Lesson 146 of 186

Concept

This is exactly the same as the "Missing Addition Piece" algebra we learned, just specifically targeting the number 100!

🎯 The Dollar Target:
Problem: What do I add to 65Β’ to make $1.00?
1. Remember the math translation: $1.00 = 100.
2. The Missing Piece strategy: Total (100) minus Start (65).
3. Stack it:
  1 0 0
- 6 5
---------
   (Borrow across the zeroes!). 10 - 5 = 5. (The first 0 became a 9). 9 - 6 = 3.
4. Answer: 35Β’!

Let's double check: 65 + 35 = 100. Perfect!

Try it
